Jane works from her studio gallery in the quaint little village of Tasman, just 35 minutes drive from Nelson, New Zealand. She has been a working artist for over 38 years. In her earlier days, she worked as a primary school teacher, specialising in art.

Her paintings have a gentle humour, and she says her people are "comfortable". The local landscapes also influence her, and her paintings frequently feature Waimea Inlet, Kina Peninsula and the wonderful mountains and beaches surrounding Nelson. Her works are perfect mementos for visitors and overseas travellers.

Jane is a member of the Ruby Coast Arts (RCA), a collective of professional artists in the region who hold regular Open Studio events. She has taken part in many group and solo exhibitions throughout New Zealand.

In her spare time, Jane can be found tending to her garden, caring for her grandchildren or walking the little doggies she cares for.
